Cheer Tumble

Sports, Fitness & Fun offers tumbling classes for every skill level and age. 

Students will learn the proper technique and progression of tumbling skills they need to execute for their high school, junior high school, and elementary school, recreational or all-star cheerleading teams. 

We offer a number of cheer training classes for all levels of cheerleading: Youth, Recreational, High School, Semi- Professional and Competitive programming is available.

Our training facilities include:

  • 54×54 regulation cheer spring floor
  • tumble trak, 2 tumble strips
  • 2 in ground trampolines
  • 2 foam block pits
  • 40×60 mirrored dance studio

 


Cheer Tumble Classes

Cheer Tumble 1 -

No prior tumbling experience is required.  Tumblers will learn the proper technique and execution of cartwheels, round-offs, handstands and the beginning techniques of standing back handsprings and round-off back handsprings.

Cheer Tumble 2 –

Minimum skills required:  cartwheel, round-off, unassisted standing back handspring and unassisted round-off back handspring.  Tumblers will learn and strengthen proper technique of standing and running back handspring series.  Tumblers will begin to learn the proper technique of round-off back handspring back tucks, and standing back tucks.
 

Cheer Tumble 3 –

By invitation only. Minimum skills required:  standing and running round-off back handspring series (three or more).  Tumblers will work in progression to learn proper technique and execution of: round-off back tucks, round-off back handsprings; back tucks, alternate flipping positions (pike, layout) and forward and backward twisting techniques and non traditional flipping skills.
 


What To Wear To Class

Participants should come to class in proper attire. A leotard, or shorts with a t-shirt and bare feet. No jewelry, belts, or jeans. Loose fitting clothes are discouraged. All hair must be tied back.

Why I Exercise

To be physically fit to enjoy all the other things I like to do in life, such as, run a 5K, play with the grandchildren and kayak in the summer. It simply makes everything in life that much more enjoyable! Richard F.
